Popped in FFXIII after about a month of neglect. Lightning started slashing a computer and pissed it off - and huzzah - boss fight. Still lost story-wise other than the whole fiance/sister incident thing. Not looking up Falcee or Lightsee or whatever the fuck they call it in the codex. It's not story telling if you have to hand the audience a brochure!

Learned about Paradigms and the leveling system. I understand the gist of it, but it's too much for my tiny brain to handle so I put the game down.

err I thought I selected FFXIII..... >.>

Damn. Looks like you accidentally played a better game.
You're going to have to delete this post, copy and paste the text under the right game.
I don't want to delete it because of @amedeus8

Yes @amedeus8, that is funny, and totally true.
Since you're leaving this post. I would like to add, that's pretty much how I felt about ff13. Believe me, really I wanted to like it. I love all the other FF game. Started playing it, after about 5 hours in, the story confusing as hell, but I could live with it. I had to started over from the beginning, because money was seriously an issue.

After what seem like an tedious eternity, I finally get to Pulse, which took 50 hours NOT 15. The just game never got ANY BETTER. I was got bored, and put it down. Will probably NEVER play ff13 again. It's really a shame too, because it looks so pretty. However, there's nothing else there, but just pretty face with no substance.
"Wait... you wrote, "Lightening started hitting the computer and a boss fight started". That's pretty close to the beginning, when they all broken into that alien artifact looking for Lightening's sister, and got branded traitors.

Most people would tell you to finish the game, because of… x, y, z. I, on the other hand, will tell you to "Get out while you can!" You've run down enough beautiful rendered corridors to get the gist of the game.

And… by the way. About the story telling, part of it. "Yahtzee" said the exact same thing.
Don't worry I'm only borrowing disc 1 from a friend, and yes I'm at the very beginning.

It was funny...once I destroyed that boss it took me to a cutscene then they asked me to save the game, took me to a cutscene, asked me to save AGAIN, and then took me to another cutscene before I could move around!
@funkzillabot I, for one, say you should give it a try and not let other people make your mind up for you. People also say Nier is a terrible game.

People also said the DS and the Wii were doomed to failure. The DS is my favorite system.

Happy 4th, catch me online if you can.
What? Is it because I mentioned Yahtzee?

Before we all get into "FF13 is the greatest game ever", speech. I probably will finish FF13. I am on Pulse. I'm another 20 or 30 hours away, so I might as well get it over with. But it won't be anytime soon.
